Inspired by personal experience of infertility
“I started Nua Fertility because I know first-hand the challenges of trying for a baby. My experience gave me an insight into the reality of fertility problems that many of us face. My search for solutions grounded in science led to the importance of nutrition for fertility and the amazing world of the microbiome and microbes and how they are a key determinant of our fertility health”.
Backed by research and fertility experts
“Nua Fertility’s supplements Nuabiome Men & Women are an excellent choice of supplements and are my go-to supplements for my patients, not only do they contain all necessary multivitamins and minerals, but they also include live bacteria in two capsules. Patients find them easy to swallow, absorb and notice a reduction in gastrointestinal symptoms. We are seeing great results in our clinic. These are great supplements for men and women’s fertility health and microbiome of the gut.”

Your Microbes Matter
The Foundation to your fertility starts in the microbiome
Your microbiome is an entire ecosystem that impacts every part of your body including your reproductive health. From balancing hormones, regulating the immune system and reducing inflammation and oxidative stress.
A balanced microbiome supports your reproductive health from within.
Your gut health is central to your fertility – and poor gut health or an imbalance in gut microbiota can negatively impact fertility and conception. So, if your gut is out of sync, it’s not helping your eggs. Not only do you deserve to feel better about your periods and reproductive health, you deserve to feel confident knowing you’re tackling fertility at the foundation (the gut!) in a natural way that makes you feel at home in your body.
Nourish your reproductive health and prepare your body for pregnancy
Targeted Vitamins and Minerals
Vitamin C: an important antioxidant which assists in protecting the mother’s DNA from oxidative damage. Also critical for the normal function of a mother’s immune system.
Vitamin D: contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
Vitamin E: important antioxidant which protects cells from oxidative stress
Folate: known to help prevent spina bifida. Works together with Vitamin B12 to ensure healthy cell-division and normal tissue growth during pregnancy.
Selenium: antioxidant that helps to protect maternal DNA, as well as proteins and lipids from oxidative damage. Important for the normal functioning of the immune and thyroid systems.
Zinc: contributes to normal fertility and reproduction
Folic Acid (Active Form Folate)
Folate is the natural form of vitamin B9, used by the body for maternal tissue growth during pregnancy as well as normal blood formation, normal immune function and reducing tiredness and fatigue. Many women find it difficult to absorb folic acid, that is why NuaBiome Women contains 400ug (the recommended level for women trying to conceive), in the active form of folate over the synthetic form of folic acid.
Ovulation is an energy-intense process. A woman’s eggs (oocytes) are cells, and the mitochondria are responsible for energy production within the cell. The human egg contains more mitochondria than any other cell. CoQ10 plays a crucial role in energy production inside the mitochondria.

Frequently asked Questions
We’ve got the answers.
I thought probiotic supplements were used to support gut health, how do they support male and female fertility?
While the largest population of good bacteria in our bodies is found in our gut – the gut microbiome – we now understand that other parts of the body are also populated with these good bacteria. Women have a vaginal microbiome and men have a seminal microbiome and we are beginning to understand that the health of both can have a significant impact on reproductive health, chances of conceiving and healthy pregnancy. When trying to conceive it is important to ensure that both vaginal and seminal microbiomes are as healthy as possible and using a high quality probiotic supplement such as NuaBiome Women or NuaBiome Men is one way to help achieve this.
NuaBiome Women is for women who want to ensure they are giving themselves the best nutritional support when trying for a baby.
At Nua Fertility, we recommend that you start to use NuaBiome Women about 3 months before you start to try to conceive. It takes between 3-4 months for a female egg (oocyte) to mature and taking a high-quality prenatal multi-nutrient and probiotic supplement during this period can support this period of maturation and promote good egg health.
However, if you have already started trying to conceive, you can still benefit from starting to take NuaBiome Women at any stage.
Methylfolate is the active form of folic acid that is ready for the body to use. Some people cannot convert folic acid efficiently into the methylfolate form therefore it is important to supplement with methylfolate to ensure proper activity of folate in the body and to protect your reproductive health.
Yes, current scientific research indicates that supplementation with probiotic supplements, such as NuaBiome Women can have a positive impact on hormone levels in women with PCOS. NuaBiome Women contains the probiotic strains Lactobacillus Rhamnosus and Lactobacillus Gasseri, both have been shown to reduce insulin resistance, the metabolic imbalance that is the main driver of PCOS. Therefore, supplementing with these probiotic strains may help improve PCOS symptoms. Diet and lifestyle changes are also important when addressing PCOS – read our nutrition for PCOS guide here.
NuaBiome for Women is suitable for almost every woman trying to conceive. It may be of particular benefit if you have endometriosis as it contains the probiotic strain Lactobacillus Gasseri, which has been shown to reduce endometrial tissue growth in an animal model of endometriosis.
Endometriosis is linked to an imbalance in oestrogen levels. NuaBiome Women contains the probiotic strain Lactobacillus Rhamnosus GG, which has been shown to help balance oestrogen levels by supporting the excretion of oestrogen from the body via the gut.
